5.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Wordpress versions 1.5 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via a direct request to files in (1) wp-content/themes/, (2) wp-includes/, or (3) wp-admin/, which reveal the path in an error message.
Recommendations
For Wordpress versions 1.5 and earlier, consider restricting access to the wp-content/themes/, wp-includes/, and wp-admin/ directories to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling direct requests to these directories until a fix is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
