CVE-2005-1972

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions InteractivePHP FusionBB versions .11 Beta and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This can be achieved via two methods: (1) the username, which is not properly handled by the insertUser function, or (2) the bb session id value in a cookie.
Recommendations For InteractivePHP FusionBB versions .11 Beta and earlier, consider restricting access to the insertUser function until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the username and bb session id variables in sensitive operations to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
