2.1
Low
| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
HP Version Control Repository Manager (VCRM) versions prior to 2.1.1.730
Description:
The issue arises from improper handling of the
@ character in a proxy password. This could potentially allow attackers with physical access to obtain portions of the password when it is displayed on the screen.Recommendations:
For versions prior to 2.1.1.730, update to version 2.1.1.730 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of the
@ character in proxy passwords until the update is applied. Restrict physical access to the system to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
