CVE-2005-2169

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Quick & Dirty PHPSource Printer versions 1.1 and earlier
Description: A directory traversal issue exists, allowing remote attackers to read arbitrary files. This is achieved by using ".../...//" sequences in the file parameter. When PHPSource Printer uses a regular expression to remove "../" sequences, these sequences are reduced to "../", enabling the traversal.
Recommendations: For Quick & Dirty PHPSource Printer versions 1.1 and earlier, consider restricting access to the file parameter in the source.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using sequences that could be reduced to "../" in the file parameter until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
