Description: The issue allows local users to obtain sensitive information because Oracle JDeveloper stores cleartext passwords in files such as IDEConnections.xml, XSQLConfig.xml, and settings.xml.
Recommendations: For Oracle JDeveloper versions 9.0.4 through 9.0.5, consider removing or securing access to the IDEConnections.xml, XSQLConfig.xml, and settings.xml files to prevent unauthorized access. For Oracle JDeveloper version 10.1.2, consider removing or securing access to the IDEConnections.xml, XSQLConfig.xml, and settings.xml files to prevent unauthorized access. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
