Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via modules that use "XOOPS Code" and newbb in the forum module, potentially leading to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

Recommendations For XOOPS versions 2.0.12 JP and earlier, update to a version later than 2.0.12 JP to resolve the issue. For XOOPS versions 2.0.13.1 and earlier, update to a version later than 2.0.13.1 to resolve the issue. For XOOPS versions 2.2.x up to 2.2.3 RC1, update to a version later than 2.2.3 RC1 to resolve the issue.
