CVE-2005-2545

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PHPOpenChat version 3.0.2
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, potentially leading to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This can be achieved through various parameters in different PHP files, including the title or content parameter to 'profile.php' and 'profile misc.php', the profile fields in 'userpage.php', the subject or body in 'mail.php', or the disinvited chatter or invited chatter parameter to 'invite.php'.
Recommendations For PHPOpenChat version 3.0.2, consider validating and sanitizing user input for the title, content, profile fields, subject, body, disinvited chatter, and invited chatter parameters to prevent arbitrary web script or HTML injection. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the affected PHP files until a patch is available.
