Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
SaveWebPortal version 3.4
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via multiple parameters to various PHP files, including
footer.php, header.php, menu dx.php, or menu sx.php, or by injecting Javascript code in the HTTP REFERER (referer) or HTTP USER AGENT (user agent) fields.Recommendations
For SaveWebPortal version 3.4, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
footer.php, header.php, menu dx.php, and menu sx.php files until a patch is available. Additionally, restrict the use of the HTTP REFERER and HTTP USER AGENT fields to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.Exploit
