CVE-2005-2896

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WEB//NEWS version 1.4
Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This can be achieved via several parameters, including the wn userpw parameter to "startup.php", cat, id, or stof parameters to "news.php", or the id parameter to "print.php".
Recommendations For WEB//NEWS version 1.4, consider restricting access to the affected parameters, such as wn userpw, cat, id, stof, until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using these parameters in the affected API endpoints.
