CVE-2005-2961
CVSS v2.0
7.5
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
ProZilla version 1.3.7.4 and possibly earlier
Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the get string ahref function when the -ftpsearch option is enabled. This allows remote servers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted string in the HREF field of an tag in a search response.
Recommendations
For ProZilla version 1.3.7.4 and possibly earlier, consider disabling the -ftpsearch option as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the get string ahref function to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the -ftpsearch option in the affected ProZilla versions until the issue is resolved.
