Description
A directory traversal issue exists in the IMAP service of MailEnable, allowing remote attackers to create or rename arbitrary mail directories. This is achieved by manipulating the mailbox name argument of the create or rename commands.
Recommendations
For MailEnable Professional versions 1.6 and earlier, consider restricting access to the IMAP service until a fix is available.
For MailEnable Enterprise versions 1.1 and earlier, avoid using the create or rename commands with untrusted input until the issue is resolved.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
