Description
The issue allows remote attackers to conduct port scans of arbitrary hosts. This is achieved by modifying URLs with targets and ports, then comparing the resulting error messages to determine which ports are open and which are closed.
Recommendations
For Google Mini Search Appliance, restrict access to prevent unauthorized port scanning.
For Google Search Appliance, consider implementing network segmentation to limit the scope of potential scans.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
