Description
The issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow in certain DLL files used by SpeedProject products. This allows attackers to execute arbitrary code when a user opens a ZIP archive containing a long filename.
Recommendations
For SpeedCommander versions 10.51 Build 4430 and 11.0 Build 4430, avoid opening ZIP archives from untrusted sources until a patch is available.
For Squeez version 5.0 Build 4285, consider restricting access to ZIP archives or disabling the ZIP handling functionality until a fix is provided.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
