CVE-2005-4307

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions ScareCrow versions 2.13 and earlier
Description A cross-site scripting issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. This can be achieved via the forum parameter to "forum.cgi" and "post.cgi", or the user parameter to "profile.cgi".
Recommendations For ScareCrow versions 2.13 and earlier, update to a version later than 2.13 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "forum.cgi", "post.cgi", and "profile.cgi" scripts until a patch is available. Avoid using the forum and user parameters in the affected scripts until the issue is resolved.
