CVE-2005-4494

CVSS v2.0

2.6

Low

VectorAV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions SPIP versions 1.8.2 and earlier
Description The issue is related to a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability that allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. This can be achieved by sending unspecified parameters to API endpoints such as "spip login.php3" and "spip pass.php3".
Recommendations For SPIP versions 1.8.2 and earlier, consider disabling access to the "spip login.php3" and "spip pass.php3" endpoints until a patch is available. Restrict input parameters to these endpoints to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
