CVE-2005-4649

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Advanced Guestbook versions 2.2 through 2.3.1
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, potentially leading to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This can be achieved via the entry parameter in "index.php" or the gb id parameter in "comment.php".
Recommendations For Advanced Guestbook versions 2.2 through 2.3.1, consider disabling the entry parameter in "index.php" and the gb id parameter in "comment.php" as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to "index.php" and "comment.php" to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the entry and gb id parameters in the affected scripts until the issue is resolved.
