CVE-2005-4700

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions TellMe versions 1.2 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information when the Server and HEAD options are enabled. This is achieved via an invalid q Host parameter, which reveals the full pathname of the application in an fsockopen error message.
Recommendations For TellMe versions 1.2 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the Server and HEAD options until a patch is available. Avoid using the q Host parameter in affected configurations to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
