Description The issue allows local users to gain privileges by utilizing the run-as deployment descriptor element. This can change the privileges of a web application or EJB from the Deployer security role to the Admin security role.

Recommendations For versions 8.1 SP4 and earlier, and 7.0 SP6 and earlier, consider restricting the use of the run-as deployment descriptor element to prevent privilege escalation until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the privileges assigned to the Deployer security role to minimize the risk of exploitation.
