Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
RedKernel Referrer Tracker version 1.1.0-3
Description
A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists, allowing remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a query string value as a GET, which is stored in the
$QUERY STRING variable. This enables attackers to execute malicious scripts on the affected system.Recommendations
For RedKernel Referrer Tracker version 1.1.0-3, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
rkrt stats.php file until a patch is available. Avoid using the $QUERY STRING variable in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
