CVSS v2.0
4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
SaralBlog version 1.0
Description
A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a website field in a new comment to "view.php". This occurs because the comment function in "functions.php" does not properly handle the input.
Recommendations
For SaralBlog version 1.0, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the comment function in "functions.php" until a patch is available. Restrict access to the "view.php" page to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the website field in new comments until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
