Description The issue allows local users to bypass intended restrictions. This can be achieved in two ways: (1) by executing arbitrary code via the -modulepath command line option, or (2) by overwriting arbitrary files via the -logfile option.

Recommendations For X.Org server (xorg-server) versions 1.0.0 and later, consider restricting the use of the -modulepath and -logfile command line options until a patch is available. For X11R6.9.0 and X11R7.0, restrict access to the -modulepath and -logfile options to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
