CVE-2006-1669
CVSS v2.0
6.4
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
PHPMyChat versions 0.14.5 and earlier
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the
T parameter in the chat/messagesL.php3 file. This can potentially be leveraged to execute arbitrary shell commands, as the username is later processed in an eval() call.Recommendations:
For versions 0.14.5 and earlier, consider restricting access to the chat/messagesL.php3 file until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the
T parameter in the affected file to minimize the risk of exploitation.Exploit
