Description
The issue is related to the Intel RNG Driver, which may incorrectly detect the presence of the pchb interface. This incorrect detection causes the driver to always generate the same random number. As a result, remote attackers can more easily crack encryption keys generated from the interface.
Recommendations
For NetBSD versions 1.6 through 3.0, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
