Description
The issue allows remote attackers to potentially execute arbitrary code and cause a denial of service (crash) via truncated IAX 2 video frames. This occurs because the frames bypass a length check, leading to a buffer overflow involving a negative length check.
Recommendations
For Asterisk versions 1.0.x through 1.0.10, update to version 1.0.11 or later.
For Asterisk versions 1.2.x through 1.2.8, update to version 1.2.9 or later.
