CVE-2006-3155

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Ultimate Auction versions 1.0 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, potentially leading to security breaches. This can be achieved through various parameters in different scripts, including the item parameter in "emailtofriend.pl" or "violation.pl", the seller parameter in "vsoa.pl", the user parameter in "userask.pl" or "leavefeed.pl", the itemnum parameter in "userask.pl", the category parameter in "itemlist.pl", and the query parameter in "search.pl".
Recommendations For Ultimate Auction version 1.0 and earlier, consider disabling the affected scripts until a patch is available. Restrict access to the parameters item, seller, user, itemnum, category, and query in their respective scripts to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the affected parameters in the respective API endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
