2.6
Low
| Vector | AV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
H-Sphere versions 2.5.1 Beta 1 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the
next template, start, curr menu id, and arid parameters in the psoft/servlet/resadmin/psoft.hsphere.CP endpoint when using the mailman/massmail.html template name. This is a cross-site scripting (XSS) issue.Recommendations
For H-Sphere versions 2.5.1 Beta 1 and earlier, consider restricting access to the psoft/servlet/resadmin/psoft.hsphere.CP endpoint until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the
next template, start, curr menu id, and arid parameters in this endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.Fix
