CVSS v2.0
7.5
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
sipXtapi versions prior to 20060324
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long CSeq field value in an INVITE message. This is due to a buffer overflow in the SIPfoundry sipXtapi.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 20060324, update to a version released after 20060324 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the INVITE message handling functionality until a patch is available.
