CVE-2006-3633

CVSS v2.0

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions OSSP shiela versions 1.1.5 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands on the CVS server. This is achieved by using shell metacharacters in a filename that is committed.
Recommendations For versions 1.1.5 and earlier, consider restricting access to the CVS server until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using shell metacharacters in filenames to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
