CVE-2006-3767

CVSS v2.0

6.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions osDate versions 1.1.7 and earlier
Description The issue is related to a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the onerror attribute in an HTML IMG tag with a non-existent source file in the txtcomment parameter. This parameter is used when posting a comment.
Recommendations For osDate versions 1.1.7 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the comment posting feature that utilizes the txtcomment parameter until a patch is available. Restrict access to the showprofile.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the txtcomment parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
