Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Sun Solaris 10
Description
A race condition exists in libnsl and TLI/XTI API routines, allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service by consuming CPU resources for listener applications. This issue is related to TCP fusion, specifically the do tcp fusion function.
Recommendations
For Sun Solaris 10, consider restricting access to the TLI/XTI API routines as a temporary workaround to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, monitor system resources to quickly identify and respond to potential denial of service attacks. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
