| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
OpenBSD versions 3.8, 3.9, and possibly earlier
Description
The issue allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a kernel panic, by allocating more semaphores than the default.
Recommendations
For OpenBSD versions 3.8 and 3.9, consider restricting semaphore allocation to prevent excessive usage until a fix is available.
For possibly earlier versions, the same recommendation applies, as the issue may also be present in those versions.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
