Description A directory traversal issue exists, allowing remote attackers to include arbitrary local files and possibly execute arbitrary code. This is achieved by using a .. (dot dot) sequence and a trailing null (%00) byte in the lang parameter. For example, an attacker could inject PHP code into a log file.

Recommendations For AlstraSoft E-friends version 4.85, consider restricting access to the chat/getStartOptions.php file until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the lang parameter in the affected endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
