Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 6.0 SP2 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an unhandled exception and crash, via a long Content-Type header that triggers a stack overflow.
Recommendations
For Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 6.0 SP2 and earlier, consider updating to a newer version to mitigate the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to potentially malicious websites to minimize the risk of triggering the stack overflow.
