| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
PHPMyNews versions 1.4 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the
cfg include dir parameter in several PHP files, including 'disp form.php3', 'disp smileys.php3', 'little news.php3', and 'index.php3' in the 'include/' directory.Recommendations
For PHPMyNews versions 1.4 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
cfg include dir parameter in the affected PHP files until a patch is available. Avoid using the cfg include dir parameter in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved.Exploit
