Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle Database version 10.1.0.5
Description
The issue is related to an unspecified vulnerability in the Core RDBMS component, with remote authenticated attack vectors. It is reportedly connected to SQL injection in functions such as
DROP SQLSET, DELETE SQLSET, SELECT SQLSET, and I SET TUNING PARAMETER, which are associated with sys.dbms sqltune. Some attack vectors might be located in DBMS SQLTUNE INTERNAL.Recommendations
For Oracle Database version 10.1.0.5, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
sys.dbms sqltune package and its associated functions until a patch is available. Avoid using the DROP SQLSET, DELETE SQLSET, SELECT SQLSET, and I SET TUNING PARAMETER functions in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability. Found an issue in the description? Have something to add? Feel free to write us 👾
