CVE-2006-5531

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Ascended Guestbook versions 1.0.0 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the CONFIG[path] parameter. This can be achieved by manipulating the URL to include malicious PHP code, which can then be executed by the application.
Recommendations For Ascended Guestbook versions 1.0.0 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the embedded.php file until a patch is available. Avoid using the CONFIG[path] parameter in the affected endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
