| Vector | AV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 6 and earlier
Description:
An information disclosure issue exists in the way drag and drop operations are handled. This could allow an attacker to construct a specially crafted Web page to disclose information if a user views and interacts with it. The attacker could retrieve files from the Temporary Internet Files (TIF) folder on a user's system.
Recommendations:
For Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 6 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to certain drag and drop operations in the browser until a fix is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
