CVE-2006-5629

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Hosting Controller versions prior to 6.1 Hotfix 3.3
Description: The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands, potentially leading to data manipulation or extraction. This is achieved through SQL injection vulnerabilities in the ForumID parameter of the API endpoints "/DisableForum.asp" and "/enableForum.asp".
Recommendations: For Hosting Controller versions prior to 6.1 Hotfix 3.3, apply Hotfix 3.3 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the /DisableForum.asp and /enableForum.asp API endpoints to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the ForumID parameter in these endpoints until the issue is resolved.
