CVE-2006-5733

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: PostNuke versions 0.763 and earlier
Description: The issue allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the PNSVlang cookie. This can be demonstrated by injecting PHP sequences into an Apache HTTP Server log file, which is then included by error.php.
Recommendations: For PostNuke versions 0.763 and earlier, consider restricting access to the error.php file until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the PNSVlang cookie or restrict its use to minimize the risk of exploitation.
