CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Cacti versions 0.8.6i and earlier
Description: The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via specific arguments to cmd.php. This can be leveraged to execute arbitrary commands, as the SQL query results are later used in the polling items array and popen function.
Recommendations: For Cacti versions 0.8.6i and earlier, consider disabling the register argc argv setting to mitigate the risk of SQL injection attacks. Additionally, restrict access to the cmd.php endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
