CVE-2007-5492

CVSS v2.0

9.0

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: SiteBar versions 3.3.8
Description: The issue concerns multiple vulnerabilities in the SiteBar package of the Debian GNU/Linux operating system, which can be exploited to compromise the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information. These vulnerabilities can be exploited by a remote attacker who has passed the authentication procedure. Specifically, there is a static code injection vulnerability in the translation module (translator.php) that allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code via the value parameter.
Recommendations: For SiteBar version 3.3.8, consider disabling the translation module (translator.php) to prevent exploitation until a patch is available. Restrict access to the value parameter in the affected module to minimize the risk of arbitrary PHP code execution.
