| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
STLport versions prior to 5.0.3
Description:
The issue concerns multiple buffer overflows in STLport, which can be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. This is related to unspecified vectors, including problems with "print floats" and a missing null termination in the "rope constructor." The exploitation of this issue may lead to a violation of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information and can be carried out remotely.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 5.0.3, update to version 5.0.3 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to components that utilize the vulnerable STLport library until a patch is applied.
