7.5
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 2.0.0.8
Description:
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the Venkman script debugger, which can lead to remote code execution. This allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 2.0.0.8, update to version 2.0.0.8 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the Venkman script debugger until a patch is available. Restrict access to the debugger to minimize the risk of exploitation.
