Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Oracle WebLogic Server version 10.3.6.0
Description:
The issue is related to inadequate access control in the WLS - Web Services component of Oracle WebLogic Server, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the server. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. This can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of Oracle WebLogic Server's accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of the server's accessible data.
Recommendations:
For Oracle WebLogic Server version 10.3.6.0, consider restricting access to the WLS - Web Services component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, ensure that all users are aware of the potential for social engineering attacks that may be used in conjunction with this vulnerability. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
