| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
PentaZip version 8.5.1.190
PentaSuite-PRO version 8.5.1.221
Description:
The issue allows local users, and user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a system crash. This can be achieved by right clicking on a file with a long filename, exploiting the
choShilA.bpl component.Recommendations:
For PentaZip version 8.5.1.190, consider avoiding the use of long filenames until a fix is available.
For PentaSuite-PRO version 8.5.1.221, restrict the right-click functionality on files with long filenames as a temporary workaround.
