| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Microsoft .NET Framework versions 1.0 through 2.0
Description
A remote code execution issue exists, potentially allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code via unspecified vectors, possibly involving a buffer overflow due to an "unchecked buffer" and unvalidated message lengths. This could enable an attacker to make changes to the system with the permissions of the logged-on user. If the user has administrative rights, the attacker could take complete control of the system, install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights.
Recommendations
For Microsoft .NET Framework versions 1.0 through 2.0, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
