| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Joomla! component Letterman version 1.2.3
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the
id parameter, related to the (1) lm sendMail(), (2) saveNewsletter(), and (3) cancelNewsletter() functions. This can be exploited through SQL injection vulnerabilities in the letterman.class.php file.Recommendations:
For Joomla! component Letterman version 1.2.3, update to version 1.0.12 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
id parameter in the affected API endpoints until a patch is available. Avoid using the id parameter in the lm sendMail(), saveNewsletter(), and cancelNewsletter() functions until the issue is resolved.Exploit
