Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
BEA WebLogic Server versions 8.1 through 8.1 SP5
Description
The issue is related to improper access control enforcement after dynamic updates and redeployments of applications using exploded jars. This allows attackers to bypass intended access restrictions.
Recommendations
For BEA WebLogic Server versions 8.1 through 8.1 SP5, consider restricting access to dynamic update and redeployment features until a proper fix is applied. As a temporary workaround, manually enforce access controls on applications to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
