CVE-2007-0537

CVSS v2.0

2.6

Low

VectorAV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions KDE HTML library (kdelibs) version 3.5.5
Description The issue is related to the improper parsing of HTML comments, which can be exploited by remote attackers to conduct cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This can be achieved by embedding certain HTML tags within a comment in a title tag, allowing attackers to bypass some XSS protection schemes.
Recommendations For version 3.5.5, consider disabling the parsing of HTML comments in the title tag as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to potentially vulnerable web pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
