Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a malformed UPX compressed executable. This is due to a buffer overflow in the Trend Micro Scan Engine.
Recommendations:
For Trend Micro Scan Engine versions 8.000 through 8.300, update to a version that includes virus pattern file 4.245.00 or later to resolve the issue.
For Cyber Clean Center (CCC) Cleaner, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
